The oldest European regional museum in nature outside of Scandinavia, where open-air museums originated. A group of residential, farming and minor building structures document the folk architecture of the Central Polabi Region. The beginnings of the museum date back to 1900.

Renaissance mansion, which Albrecht Václav Smiřický donated to the town in 1613 as a place for a town hall. The building was rebuilt in the Early Baroque style. The old town hall served for its original purpose until 1894. From 1945, the city museum has been housed here.

Týnec nad Sázavou - castle, rotunda and museum

A part of the castle from the turn of the 12th and 13th century is one of a few Romanesque monuments in our country. There is an extant rotunda (built in the 11th century), a square tower and a Gothic building from a later period. Value of the building was fully appreciated only in the 19th century, in earlier times it was used as a manufacturing plant.

The Renaissance castle was rebuilt from a medieval stronghold of the French type, as can be seen from a massive tower. In the 18th and 19th century the castle was enlarged in Neo-Gothic style - from this time are romantic buildings in the park and three entrance gates with crests of the former owners.

Vysoká Lhota - museum and chateau

The first written record of the chateau dates back to 1358. From the middle of the 16th century to the middle of the 18th century, the Lhotak family lived here. Karel David purchased the settlement, who was later condemned to death by Maria Theresa for betrayal. In 1750, Count Vrtba (owner of Chateau Konopiste at the time) bought the chateau and it was reconstructed.

The gallery was established by 1989. It is operated by the Basic School of Arts Kolin. It has two different exhibition areas. The area in the atrium garden has a stone wall and a glassed-in part of the interior. The second area makes use of the exhibition space in the attic.

Built as a part of the Medieval fortification of the city. The gate is 12 m tall. At the beginning of the 20th century and in 1983, reconstruction took place and it was made accessible to the public.

The only surviving gate of the former fortifications, which were constructed from 13th century. The present form dates from the period around 1500. The gate was used to guard the city from the south.
