The lookout on Městska hora in Beroun was designed as a superstructure of a water tank and was finished in 1936. At first sight, the concrete construction (11 meters high) resembles a diving tower. Its sheltered platform provides a beautiful vista of Beroun and its surroundings, Czech Karst and hills of Brdy.

Originally a 17.5 m tall land surveying, seven-sided tower, which served for geodetic purposes. After 2003, the Association of Tourists of the northern slopes of the Brd took over the tower and repaired it and made it accessible to the public.

It belongs among the oldest church buildings in Bohemia (10th-11th century). The church interior is mainly Baroque. Below the presbytery's floor is a crypt (1520), which served as the city's ossuary. As of 2007, the Gothic tower of the church has been made accessible to the public as a viewing point with a unique view of the junction of the Labe and Vltava River.

A part of the castle from the turn of the 12th and 13th century is one of a few Romanesque monuments in our country. There is an extant rotunda (built in the 11th century), a square tower and a Gothic building from a later period. Value of the building was fully appreciated only in the 19th century, in earlier times it was used as a manufacturing plant.
